• The Aphex 10/4 Audio Level Interface, Model 124A, is a dual, bi-directional buffer amplifier designed to provide level and impedance matching between consumer hi-fi equipment and professional, as well as industrial, audio systems. It features a simple, high-quality interface design without added noise, distortion, or instability that can result from an improper hookup. It is designed to allow use of -10dBV consumer hi-fi equipment with +4 or +8dBm professional/industrial/broadcast audio systems. It provides an extremely clean, reliable two-way buffer so both systems can operate at maximum performance levels, matching impedances and operating levels.

 • The pro recording studio standard Aphex 124A enjoys a longtime reputation as one of the world’s finest level interfaces. The 124A’s high definition servo balanced input and output circuits remains as the premier bidirectional stereo level interface.
For multichannel applications of up to eight channels, using two channel interfaces is cumbersome and expensive. With the need by far to match consumer level outputs to professional level inputs Aphex created the Model 228 Unidirectional Level Interface based on the proven 124A.
The front panel extended range VU meter and trim controls allow each channel to be calibrated and monitored individually. Two-color signal presence/clip indicators let you know instantly if sound is present on each channel or if an overload occurs. For home theater installations, a provision is made to dim all the lights on the front panel.

 • Since its introduction in 1975, close to a million Aphex Aural Exciters have found their way into recording studios and broadcast facilities, nightclubs and concert halls, arenas and airports, musicians' and DJs' rigs and houses of worship. The Aural Exciter's patented technology has been often imitated but never duplicated.
Each of the Aural Exciter's two independent channels feature Tune, Harmonics and Mix controls, enabling you to focus on select frequencies just like on an EQ. But unlike an EQ, the Aural Exciter's harmonic processing doesn't boost the signal's output level, so it maintains a clear and balanced sound.
Traditional EQ increases the output level of the targeted frequencies. Adding EQ to boost selected frequencies typically results in a perceived loss of other frequencies, which are then also boosted to compensate. The Aural Exciter's patented technology harmonically brings out the desired frequencies without adding gain. The result is audio that's more balanced, more articulate and, simply put, better sounding.
Over three decades of research, development and refinement have kept the Aural Exciter at the cutting edge. The new Aural Exciter and Optical Big Bottom features the same no-compromise audio quality Aphex is known for, with the highest quality componentry and rugged, durable construction to withstand the rigors of travel and constant use.

 • With more and more studios foregoing consoles in favor of recording and mixing "in the box", a clean and versatile front end input stage is indispensible. There are dozens and dozens of channel strips and similar devices to choose from, but none that come close to the Channel in terms of sound, features or performance.
Our legendary Model 230 has been re-imagined as the Channel, adding a host of new features to address a greater number of workflows while retaining the sound, functionality and versatility that made the 230 one of the most in-demand processors ever for professional audio, live sound, broadcast and post production.
Channel incorporates seven powerful devices within a compact, single rack space design, including five of Aphex's exclusive patented technologies. The result is the highest possible audio quality, processing power and flexibility.
The elegant front panel not only looks great, but is laid out in an intuitive, easy-to-use workflow with easy to understand labeling. Building on the foundation of the Model 230, the Channel features an instrument input, dedicated output and gain reduction metering, front panel sample rate and clock source selection; and a reference quality internal clock.
